Average price to pay for a saxophone lesson?

Saxophone Lessons in general are quite expensive. I find there are two different types of teachers who offer their services to students.

1. New teachers who charge lower prices but are inexperienced

2. Experienced teachers who charge a lot of money for each lesson.

For example the new teachers (often students) may charge around £15 ($24) for a half an hour lesson whereas the more experienced and generally better teachers may charge £25 ($41) for a half an hour lesson.

What type of teacher is right for me?

Well you have to ask yourself the question – What is my budget?

My advice would be that if you can afford an experienced teacher then I would go for it. However there are exceptions where you will find that there are some great student teachers who offer their services for fair prices.

Choosing a teacher can be a difficult decision. Usually I would only use a teacher who has been recommended to me by a family member of friend. This is because each teacher is different and you have no way of knowing how good they are. Find UK music teachers

Even £15 a week is a lot for you?

Many students who do not have jobs may struggle to pay £15 for a weekly half an hour lesson. There is not a lot you can do in half an hour so your progression might be slow.

There is a solution to having private tuition – Introducing the Saxophone Guru Online Training Course.

I created this course especially for people who do not have the time or money to have private tuition. This means you can learn at your own pace in the comfort of your own home. All of the resources are displayed in one place making it easy for you to learn, no matter what time it is.

The advantage of this is that there are no monthly fees and you can progress as quickly as you want through the training course without breaking the bank.

Whats the other advantage of this?

Instead of spending all your money on actual lessons, you can use the spare money you might have spent on your equipment instead! A very cheap saxophone may seem like a good idea when you are first starting out. However it has its limitations as many of them are poorly made and will not enable you to progress at the level you may want to.
